The FLOJET 1750 Series Inline Water Pressure Regulator is designed to reduce inlet water pressure to safe levels, protecting instrumentation from potential damage. This regulator also safeguards equipment by filtering out waterborne debris and particulates through its removable and cleanable inlet screen. Models are available with preset, non-adjustable maximum (nominal) outlet pressures, though the actual outlet pressure may vary depending on the inlet flow rate and pressure. Please refer to the performance section for specific details.
For instrumentation we recommend 15 psi Regulated Output, with 1/2” FNPT & Screw-In 1/2” MNPT x 3/8″ OD Straight Barbed Nylon Fittings
MOUNTING/PLUMBING
Safety Precautions: Before beginning installation, review the General Safety Information provided.
Screen Installation: Ensure that the screen is properly installed in the regulator’s inlet port.
Thread Preparation: Wrap the fitting threads with 1-2 layers of Teflon pipe thread tape. When installing fittings, hand-tighten them, then add only a 1/4 turn to avoid damaging the threads. In tight spaces, consider using elbow fittings to minimize stress on the regulator and tubing.
Fitting Warning: Only use plastic fittings with 1/2″ NPT male threads. Metal fittings may damage the regulator threads or crack the housing, which would void the warranty.
Mounting Position: Install the regulator before the inlet side of the equipment or appliance. Whenever possible, position the regulator where it is visible and easily accessible for cleaning. Follow the arrow on the regulator to ensure correct flow direction. The regulator can be mounted either vertically or horizontally.
Plumbing Connections: Use braided, high-pressure, flexible tubing on both ends of the regulator, and secure it with Oetiker stainless steel clamps. Avoid connecting the regulator directly to rigid tubing or any type of pipe.
Securing Components: To reduce the risk of stress on the regulator and tubing, use cable ties to securely fasten the regulator and tubing in place.
For instrumentation we suggest the Flojet Part # 1750-352 – Flojet Pressure Regulator, 15 psi Regulated Output, with 1/2” FNPT & Screw-In 1/2” MNPT x 3/8″ OD Straight Barbed Nylon Fittings.
Other options include:
1750-300 50 psi max., no fittings
1750-301 50 psi max., with 1/2″ NPT male x 1/4″ OD
straight barbed nylon fittings
