Degassed Cation Conductivity Analyzer

SWAN AMI Deltacon DG

The degassed cation conductivity analyzer enables measurement of three conductivity values in water-steam cycles: Specific (total); cation (acid) after a cation exchanger; Degassed after a sample reboiler.

Degassed Cation Conductivity Analyzer

The Deltacon DG Degassed Cation Conductivity Analyzer’s continuous information from boiler water, steam and condensate permits for significantly faster turbine startups, saving time and money (it will normally pay for itself within only a few months).

The differentiation between CO2 and impurities is made simple in steam samples with SWAN Analytical degassed cation conductivity analyzer model AMI Deltacon DG.

This innovative on-line instrument is the complete solution for degassed cation conductivity monitoring requirements in cycling power stations.

The AMI Deltacon DG continuously ensures that boiler, condensate and steam samples are contamination-free by removing up to 95% of CO2 in the sample. To do this, it utilizes a precise, automatically controlled reboiler.

In addition to reliable degassed conductivity measurements, the conductivity analyzer also provides the user with specific (total) and cation (acid) conductivity concentrations. The monitor is also able to calculate and display pH or ammonia concentration outputs, and it measures sample flow and temperature as well.

Features of the SWAN AMI Deltacon DG Conductivity Analyzer:

  • Stainless steel Larson-Land type reboiler system with automatic boiling point adjustment.
  • Atmospheric pressure compensation for additional boiling point control.
  • System cools re-boiled sample with incoming sample (no separate cooling system required).
  • Three high-precision conductivity sensors with outputs (specific, cationic, degassed).
  • Integrated cation exchanger with exhaustion monitoring.
  • Simultaneous measurement and display of conductivity (x 3), pH, alkalizing reagent.
  • Built-in sample flow control valve, temperature compensation and flow monitoring.
  • Automatic shutoff of reboiler in the case of sample loss.
  • Patented Slot-Lock system for easy sensor maintenance.
  • Electronic drift stabilization.
  • Complete system factory tested, stainless steel panel-mounted, ready for operation.

The analyzer is highly reliable and proven in determining false positives from rising cation conductivity. Condenser leaks, organic material decomposition (to acetic/formic acid) are easily determined with this advanced yet out of the box degassed conductivity solution.
