Why Gas Accuracy is Essential

A Calibration Gas has to be precise in it’s composition to facilitate the accurate comparative testing of gas detection equipment. The precise composition of each gas must be accurate to determine the functionality of of both personal and fixed gas analyzers. For example; 100 ppm (parts per million) of H2S Gas in Nitrogen could be used to determine if the gas detector does indeed detect 100 ppm. If it does not, report the numbers based on the standard, it will be shown to be in need of adjustment and/or replacement of detection sensors.
